2022 Forum
The 14th Australia New Zealand Leadership Forum (ANZLF) took place in Sydney on 7-8 July 2022. The central theme was the great acceleration of trends arising from the pandemic and how Australia and New Zealand can emerge from global disruptions stronger together.

The ANZLF thanks our generous sponsors without whom it would not have been possible to hold this meeting and the Trans-Tasman Innovation and Growth Awards.
The Forum, which was attended by 15 Ministers and over 300 business leaders and officials from Australia and New Zealand, concluded with strengthened trans-Tasman commitments in multiple fields including the digital economy, supply chain resiliency, innovation and science, tourism, infrastructure, health technology, indigenous business, climate change, and labour/skill shortages. https://www.anzlf.org/trans_tasman_leaders_lay_path_for_strengthened_partnership_backed_with_new_initiatives
A highlight of the event was the ANZLF Celebration Dinner on 7 July attended by the Prime Ministers of Australia and New Zealand. The Hon Anthony Albanese MP and Rt Hon Jacinda Ardern congratulated the four companies which won the Trans-Tasman Innovation & Growth Awards for their innovative solutions to address mental health, microbial contamination, toxin-free cleaning products and making data more accessible, usable and shareable for communities.
Congratulations to the four winners:

Virtual Event Indigenous Trade and Connections
The ANZLF’s Indigenous Business Sector Group hosted our first ever Virtual Indigenous Trade and Connections event on 22nd February and 1st March 2021. This was an opportunity to bring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island business leaders together with Māori business leaders to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing Indigenous business in both countries.
We heard from the Minister for Indigenous Australians, The Hon Ken Wyatt AM MP, and Hon Nanaia Mahuta, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Associate Minister for Māori Development, as well as Rino Tirikatene MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Trade and Export Growth (Māori). There were two panels of experts discussing Indigenous business and Indigenous tourism respectively, moderated by the ANZLF Co-chairs for Indigenous Business, Laura Berry and Traci Houpapa MNZM. We also held a Virtual Indigenous Business Showcase, that is, a virtual trade fair featuring over forty Indigenous businesses who presented a great range of goods and services. We also encouraged our participants to build their networks through group meetings and 1:1 sessions with other participants as well as participation in the virtual trade fair.
We thank all our speakers and our 100+ participants for their contributions to this very successful inaugural event. We were pleased to partner with virtual event management company PAXABLE to deliver this virtual event using their Hopin platform. You can see and connect with all the exhibitors from our showcase below.
You can watch Minister Wyatt’s and Minister Mahuta’s remarks here.
