CEO, Infrastructure New Zealand

Owen Gill is the CEO of Infrastructure New Zealand, the nation’s highly respected peak infrastructure body. Infrastructure New Zealand has over 140 corporate members and works to promote best practice in national infrastructure development through research, advocacy and public and private sector collaboration.

Owen has extensive experience in implementing strategy, organisational change, public policy, micro-economic reform, both in New Zealand and Australia.

In 2016 Owen served as acting CEO at Financial Services Council and recently he has worked as a consultant with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, New Zealand Law Society, and the Commerce Commission.

Owen’s qualifications include Masters of Business Administration (MBA) (Macquarie), Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Policy (VUW), and Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) (VUW).

In 2019 he wrote the book “Turning Point Auckland - Radical Policy to Prepare Auckland for Two Million People” on the long-term future of the city.
