The Australia New Zealand Leadership Forum (ANZLF) hosted a high-level dialogue with New Zealand Minister for Trade and Investment Hon Todd McClay, and Australian Minister for Trade and Tourism Senator the Hon Don Farrell, and senior business leaders in Auckland on 4 September.

Held alongside the annual Closer Economic Relations (CER) Ministerial Meeting, the discussion focused on the changing global economic environment and how Australia and New Zealand can work more closely to strengthen prosperity, resilience and economic security.

The Ministers reaffirmed their commitment to working with the ANZLF to strengthen the trans-Tasman business environment and progress nine priority recommendations put forward by the Forum including reducing regulatory barriers, strengthening supply chains and industrial resilience, and deepening collaboration in areas such as defence, technology and space.

The ANZLF will work with both governments and the trans-Tasman business community to translate these priorities into practical outcomes that make it easier to do business across the Tasman and strengthen the resilience and competitiveness of both economies.
