The ANZLF appoints John Paitaridis as Australian Co-Chair
The Australia New Zealand Leadership Forum (ANZLF) welcomes the appointment of Mr John Paitaridis, CEO of CyberCX, as the new Australian Co-Chair.
Current Australian Co-Chair, Pip Marlow, has made the decision to transition from the role. Pip will be stepping down as she moves forward to pursue the next phase of her professional journey, the ANZLF expressed appreciation for the exceptional leadership demonstrated by Pip.
Pip welcomed Mr Paitaridis's appointment to the role. "As I step down from my role as the Australian Co-Chair, I am pleased to announce the appointment of John Paitaridis as the new Australian Co-Chair. John's proven track record and deep understanding of digital security not only align with our strategic goals but also underscore his ability to steer Australia-New Zealand relations toward enhanced cooperation and resilience in the modern era. I am confident in his capacity to lead us into a future defined by innovation and strengthened partnerships."
Mr Paitaridis will join New Zealand Co-Chair, Mr Greg Lowe, Strategic Adviser and former Group CEO of Beca, as leaders of the ANZLF.
Mr Paitaridis will commence his role today. This appointment comes at a critical time for our region as our geo-political and economic environment shifts with key advancements in technology.
Mr Paitaridis is a recognised leader in the technology industry with an esteemed career in cyber security, having been responsible for enabling the digital transformation and cyber security strategies for some of the most significant public-sector organisations and global enterprises across a wide range of sectors from banking and financial services to mining and agriculture.
Mr Paitaridis is committed to the digital future of Australia and New Zealand, with a proven ability to translate vision and strategy into execution and results. Mr Lowe and Mr Paitaridis will drive forward our agenda to strengthen cooperation and greater collaboration between our two nations in critical areas of strategic mutual interest to foster economic prosperity and security for both our nations and the wider region.
Aotearoa New Zealand Co-Chair Greg Lowe welcomed the appointment, saying the Forum had a number of significant issues to advance in 2024.

The Australia New Zealand Leadership Forum (ANZLF) is a business-led initiative established in 2004 to facilitate high-level engagement between Australian and New Zealand businesses and government leaders to foster mutual prosperity. The ANZLF has played a pivotal role in strengthening the bilateral relationship between Australia and New Zealand with two-way trade reaching NZ$29 billion in 2022.
The ANZLF Co-Chairs are supported by a high-level Steering Committee comprising senior business leaders from Australia and New Zealand. The ANZLF Secretariat is hosted by the Business Council of Australia and Business New Zealand.
